As part of our crusade to make (and remake) the house as environmentally friendly as possible, Rich took out the air conditioning unit which had been installed by the fireplace after some yahoo took out one of the original leaded glass windows and part of the frame to stick the monstrosity in there. Rich spent hours rebuilding the window with wood recovered from other windows in the house that had to be redone per code. He stood on a ladder outside while I handed him tools and wood from inside.
Mom and I found a pair of perfect sized leaded glass windows at an antique store in downtown St. Paul just a couple miles from the house, and here is one of them. A bonus is that the bevel pattern actually matches the glass in the built-in buffet.
